Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities has been feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless since 1917. A federation of more than 90 agencies, the organization provides help and hope for hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, non-Catholics and Catholics alike.
40 Days for Life: Prayer, Fasting and Vigil to End Abortion
40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life campaign to access God’s power through prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil to end abortion. The mission of the campaign is to bring together the body of Christ in a spirit of unity during a focused 40 day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism, with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion.
Pierre Toussaint Scholars
The Pierre Toussaint Scholarship Program was established in 1983 and is administered by the Office of Black Ministry, of the Archdiocese of New York. It is a program of mentorship and support for college student-leaders. Find out what this program is doing to continue the legacy of the Venerable Pierre Toussaint and help young students of promise.
The New York Foundling
The New York Foundling has served over 27,000 children since 1869! Please consider giving to our city's most vulnerable: abused and neglected children, struggling families, teenage parents, developmentally disabled adults, and young children taking their first steps toward learning. Each Christmas we collect gifts for the children on our Giving Trees but please don’t wait to offer your support.
Sisters of Charity
For nearly 200 years, the Sisters of Charity of New York have ministered to the needs of the poor with education and nursing. The Congregation’s history begins with its founder, Elizabeth Ann Seton, who was later canonized as the first American-born saint.
Annual Lenten and Thanksgiving Food Drive
Each year our parish contributes non-perishable food for the Cabrini Immigrant Services' Food Pantry on the Lower East Side. Look for collection boxes at awith a list of non-perishable food suggestions. As always, a monetary donation in cash form is also gratefully accepted. You can make out a check to Cabrini Immigrant Services Food Pantry and indicate SPCOLR TFood Drive in notes. ($40 can feed a family of four.)
Holy Respite
The Sisters of Life is dedicated to helping pregnant women find a place to rest and get their feet on the ground while being immersed in a deeply spiritual setting. Your support enables mothers to make life-affirming decisions for their children. Please help new mothers. Each May, St. Peter – Our Lady of the Rosary holds a baby shower to collect much needed baby layette items (unwrapped) for Holy Respite. A monetary donation is also gratefully accepted. You can make out a check to St. Peter – Our Lady of the Rosary and indicate Holy Respite.
